The Settings Tab
The Settings tab provides you with some very important options, including setting a site password and SEO settings. There ARE, however, a few things you may NOT change. Be cautious and make certain you fully understand any changes you make on this tab.
General Settings
- Site Title – You are welcome to change the name of your site, if desired.
- Site Category - You can ignore this. No one will contact you making suggestions as indicated. This is for Weebly's retail customers.
- SSL - This adds an extra layer of security to your site providing the url with https://. Feel free to enable it.
- Favicon – The favicon is pre-set. Please do not change it.
- Site Password – you may set a site password and apply it to one or more pages of your site.
- Navigation – all sites, by default, group excess pages under “More…” in the navigation bar. You may change it, if desired.
- Archive - Once your site is published, you will be able to enter you email address and receive a zip file of all the site contents. Save it somewhere safe, that you'll remember, just in case your site should ever become damaged or destroyed. It has not ever happened, but anything is possible.
- Site Formatting - You are welcome to change this area to your preferences.
- Cookie Notification - You may customize as desired.
- Authorize Adsense – we do not allow adsense, so please disregard this section.
- Un-publish - If you choose to unpublish your site, please notify our office at 205-348-8016 so we may update our records.
